Overview
Detect can now scan images shared across monitored sources for the presence of firearms. This is crucial to the safety of students and the school for safety administrators to act on imminent threats quickly and prevent a violent critical incident.
Key Features
Monitoring across all scanned platforms: Images shared through existing integrated platforms will be scanned for the presence of a gun or firearm within the image. This includes Twitter, other social media, and owned sources such as Google and Microsoft Exchange.
Flagging of guns as Alerts: If we detect an image of a gun is being shared, we will flag that for you as either a “Discussion” or “Actionable” alert. From there, you have the ability to either escalate the alert and act on it or dismiss it.
Machine Learning Accuracy: There are no humans behind identifying images of guns. This is all done through our latest technology and AI powered machine learning models. As such, our monitoring is always running 24/7 without the need of humans. This protects your student privacy.
Note: Machine learning models aren’t perfect. You will encounter false positives, but we are continually training our model and improving its recognition abilities to keep both false positives and false negatives to a minimum.
