How to Link Workflows
Learn how to connect different workflows in Behavioral Case Manager .
User Permissions
User must have Manage System Customization permissions to complete the following steps.

Adding Linking Workflows as a Component
Ensure model(s) to be included in Linking Workflows are published prior to starting the following steps.
- Log into Case Manager.
- Select Admin tab.
- Select Manage Models node and click the Process Models tab.
- Click the three-dot Vertical Ellipsis next to any process model.
- Click Edit then Confirm.
- Process Model pop up.
- "Yes, apply to all existing and new cases"
- “No, apply only to new cases”
- Click Customize Case Details and click Add Process Models under Linking Cases.
- In the pop-up, select desired model(s) to enable branching to from within the process model.
- Click Publish.
Adding Linking Component to a Model
- Click Process Models tab.
- Click the three-dot Vertical Ellipsis next to the model user would like to add linking workflows to.
- Click Edit then Confirm.

- "Yes, apply to all existing and new cases"
- “No, apply only to new cases”
- Select the Step where to add workflow option.
- If editing Custom Content Model, click Add Section to house the Linking Workflow.
- Locate and select Add Custom Fields.
- In the Components list, click Linking Workflows.
- Drag and drop Create Linked Case to desired location on page and click Save.
- Locate model that was updated and click Publish.
- In the pop-up click Confirm.
Linked Case Only Option
A given model can be hidden from case creation so that users can only create linked cases with the model through another published model.
- Ensure a given model is published and the above steps have been followed to add it as a linked case option within another model.
- From the Process Models tab within Manage Models, toggle the option within the Linked Case Only column beside the model to be hidden from case creation; when toggled, a given model will only be able to used in creating cases when selected as a linked case from within another model.
