What Is NORA?
- NORA is an AI assistant built into Navigate360 Behavioral Case Manager (BCM).
- NORA answers questions about BCM processes and best-practice case-management guidance, such as threat assessment, support planning, and interview preparation, right where you are working, without breaking your workflow.
- NORA draws on Navigate360's documented guidance, for example Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG), National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) resources, and Suicide Risk Screening and Management guidance, to answer your questions.
- NORA provides general guidance based on documentation and best practices. It does not review or analyze the specific details of your open cases. Always use your professional judgment and follow your district's protocols when making case decisions.
Where to Find NORA
Look for the Ask NORA button in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. Select Ask NORA at any time to open the panel on the right side of your screen.

Good to Know
- NORA is a guidance tool, not a case-management action tool. It cannot create, edit, or update cases, tasks, or records on your behalf.
- AI-generated content may be incorrect. Always confirm important guidance against your district's official protocols before acting on it.
Starting a Conversation
When you open NORA with no active conversation, you will see a short greeting along with a list of suggested prompts, for example:
- “What information should I gather before starting an assessment?”
- “How do I create an appropriate support plan for the person of concern?”
- “I have a different question.”
Select a suggested prompt to send it as your message, or select I have a different question to move past the suggestions. NORA will confirm (“Sounds good! What can I help you with?”) and you can then type your own question in the box at the bottom of the panel.

Getting a More Specific Answer
NORA's answers become more useful the more specific you are. If your question could apply to more than one framework or process, NORA will ask a clarifying question before answering. For example, if you ask about assessment preparation, NORA may ask whether you are working with CSTAG, NTAC, or Suicide Risk Screening and Management guidance, and let you choose one or ask about all three.

You can also ask follow-up questions in the same conversation, and NORA will continue building on the topic.

Sharing Feedback on a Response
Every NORA response includes a thumbs-up and thumbs-down icon so you can tell Navigate360 how helpful it was. Your feedback helps Navigate360's team continue to improve NORA's responses over time.
- Select the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon below the response you want to rate.
- In the Share Feedback window, select one or more options that describe your experience, such as Accurate/correct information, Solved my problem, Anticipated what I needed, Useful examples, Good level of detail, Easy to understand, or Other.
- Optionally, add details in the Share Details box to tell us more.
- Select Submit, or Cancel to close the window without submitting.

If NORA Runs into an Issue
If NORA is temporarily unable to respond, you will see a short message letting you know, along with an option to try again. You do not need to close and reopen the panel; simply retry from the same conversation.
