Password Reset- EMS
Learn how users can reset their Emergency Management password quickly and securely.
If a user has forgotten their password, they can follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Emergency Management login page and Click Forgot Password
- Enter the email address used for logging into Emergency Management
- If the user has an account associated with the email address provided, they will be able to click Send Reset Link
- Next, a link to reset the password will be sent to their email address (The link is valid for one use only)
If a user received a password reset email, they can update their password by following these steps:
- Click the link in the password reset email (Note this link is one-time use only)
- The user will be navigated to the Update Password page

Enter a new password, then retype the password in the field below ensuring all password requirements are met
- At least 8 characters
- Uses at least 1 special character
- Uses at least 1 number
- Click Update
- Next, the user will be directed back to the login page for Emergency Management
Administrators can also assist staff unable to log in by navigating to the staff member’s user profile in the User Management section of Emergency Management.
Administrators can either change the password or send a password reset email to the staff member by following these steps:
- Navigate to the 3 Dot Actions Menu next to the admin’s name in the Side Navigation Menu, then click User Management
- Search for the user using the Users tab
- Click on the user’s name to view their account profile
- Click on Password Options from the menu on the left side and choose either option:
- Click Change Password
- Enter in the new password and confirm it meets all requirements
- Click Save
- The password will then be changed for the user, and the admin will need to provide this information to the user in a safe and secure way (The user can always change their password again once the log in with the password set by the admin)
- Click Send Password Reset Email* (note- clicking this will automatically send the password reset email to the user)
- The user will then use the steps mentioned above to change their password.
- Click Change Password
*The Password Reset Email should only be used for users who have previously logged into Emergency Management and can no longer remember their password. To send a first time invitation to a new user to complete their account setup including setting/changing their password, admins should instead click Send Welcome Email.
