Students (or their guardians) can facilitate their own late check-in without the need for a guardian to scan their government-issued ID at the Self-Serve kiosk*. To learn more about this workflow, review the below steps:

Grade Levels with Front Office Approval

Google Translate

Google Translate is available to assist non-English-speaking students or guardians checking a student in late. To use this feature, students or guardians can click Select Language at the bottom of the Self-Serve main page. Once they choose their preferred language,  the page will refresh and they can complete the needed steps to check in late to the building.

 

Search by Student Name or Student Number:

  1. Student or Guardian will select Student on the Self-Serve Landing Page
  2. Enter Student Name or Student Number
  3. Select Student and click Confirm and Continue
  4. Select Check-in
  5. Select the Reason for checking in late and click Confirm and Check-In
  6. Student or Guardian will then go to the Front Office to finalize their late check-in
  7. Front Office Staff will click on the student's name in the banner on the top of page within Visitor Management to confirm the student check-in
    1. Type: Select whether the late check-in is Excused or Unexcused
    2. Print Tardy Slip (Optional): Check the box for a tardy slip to print 
    3. Select Confirm Late Check-in to complete the late check-in and print the tardy slip, if selected
      1. Note: Front Office Staff also has the option to Deny the Late check-in by clicking Deny

 

Scan the Student ID with a Barcode or RFID with the provided hardware:

Note: The below steps are only available if an admin has enabled Self-Serve for students AND selected Barcode/RFID as an option.

 
  1. Student or Guardian will scan the student ID with a barcode or RFID
  2. Select Check-in
  3. Select the Reason for checking in late and click Confirm and Check-In
  4. Student or Guardian will then go to the Front Office to finalize their late check-in
  5. Front Office Staff will click on the student's name in the banner on the top of page within Visitor Management to confirm the student check-in
    1. Type: Select whether the late check-in is Excused or Unexcused
    2. Print Tardy Slip (Optional): Check the box for a tardy slip to print 
    3. Select Confirm Late Check-in to complete the late check-in and print the tardy slip, if selected
      1. Note: Front Office Staff also has the option to Deny the Late check-in by clicking Deny

  1. Student or Guardian will select Student on the Self-Serve Landing Page

  5. Select the Reason for checking in late and click Confirm and Check-In
  6. Student will then collect their badge from the Default Self-Serve Tardy Slip printer, and enter the building
  7. Front Office Staff will click on the student's name in the banner on the top of page within Visitor Management to finalize the student check-in
    1. Type: Select whether the late check-in is Excused or Unexcused
    2. Print Tardy Slip (Optional): Check the box for a tardy slip to print 
    3. Select Finalize Late Check-in to complete the late check-in and print the tardy slip, if selected
      1. Note: The late check-in record will show the time that the check-in was completed on Self-Serve, NOT when the staff member finalizes the check-in

Subsequent Student Late Check-ins on the Same School Day
