Emergency Management / Campus360 records who activated each alarm in the “Initiated By” field. The attribution shown in “Initiated By” depends on how the alarm was triggered, whether the wearable panic button is assigned, and whether the owner is an active user in Emergency Management. A defined set of rules now governs this behavior.

View Who Initiated an Alarm - During an Active Alarm: 

Web Browser:

1. From the Home Page, or Rapid Alarm, click on the active alarm
2. In the Alarm Details section, view “Activated By”

Mobile App:

1. In the mobile app, click into alarm details
2. View “last updated by” in alarm details. 
   
   Note: last updated will reflect user who activated the alarm, if another user changes the location of the alarm in EM, that name will update. The web browser is the best path to validate who activated the alarm. 

View Who Initiated an Alarm - After an Alarm has Ended:

Past alarm details are only available in the Web Browser

1. Navigate to Rapid Alarm
2. Select “Past” to view all past alarms
3. Click “View Past Alarm Details” on the specific event
4. View “Initiated By” in the alarm description
